Have Fun!
(and we did... again!)

South Fulton Amateur Radio Emergency Service (SFARES) held it's fourth annual Field Day event on June 24, 25 and 26, 2005. Keeping with the tradition, we operated from Cochran Mill Park located on Cochran Mill Road. Click here for maps.

We began our setup on Friday afternoon. We ran 2 phone stations and one CW station with a bunch of wire antennas. As luck would have it, we managed to get everything working before the before the normal rain showers.

This year we used battery power for all the radios starting about dusk on Saturday and we used nothing but wire antennas. In previous years we had at least one beam on a short tower but this year, being in the low part of the sun spot cycle, we decided to only use wire.

Click here for the BIG LIST of items we need to bring. This list is LAST YEAR's list so please send me an update on what you can/will/can not bring. Thanks, Tony
